A Russian Manicure is an advanced dry nail technique that uses a precision electric file (e-file) to gently remove dead skin and overgrown cuticle tissue — without soaking nails in water. Unlike traditional manicures that soften the nail with water and cut cuticles with scissors, the Russian technique preserves the nail plate's integrity and creates an ultra-clean base for flawless adhesion. The result is a museum-quality finish that can't be replicated with conventional methods — lasting 3–4 weeks without chipping.

An e-file (electric nail file) is a precision rotary tool with interchangeable diamond-coated bits, operating at controlled speeds to gently exfoliate the cuticle area — never cutting, only lifting and removing dead tissue. This level of control lets our technicians achieve a seamless cuticle line impossible with manual tools, and it's this precision that makes Russian Manicure results so distinctly clean and long-lasting.

Every session follows: (1) Nail assessment and consultation; (2) E-file cuticle work — gently lifting and removing overgrown tissue; (3) Nail shaping and edge refinement; (4) Nail plate buffing and preparation; (5) Base coat, gel polish or rubber base, and top coat application. Sessions with our Top Masters run approximately 1h 50min for natural nails. Extensions, nail art, or spa add-ons extend the appointment accordingly.

Russian Manicure with gel polish typically lasts 3–4 weeks chip-free — roughly twice the lifespan of a traditional manicure. The dry preparation ensures gel bonds directly to the nail plate without moisture interference, preventing lifting and chipping. Many clients go the full 4 weeks before their next appointment looking as fresh as day one.

To maximize your manicure's lifespan: apply cuticle oil daily (especially at night); wear gloves when cleaning or washing dishes; avoid soaking nails for the first 24 hours post-service; don't use nails as tools; and refresh the top coat weekly if needed. These simple steps keep your nails looking salon-fresh for the full 3–4 weeks.

Yes — and it's often recommended for clients with fragile nails. Because the technique uses gentle exfoliation (not cutting) and avoids the chemical soaking that weakens nail plates, it's actually less damaging than traditional methods. Regular Russian Manicures, combined with daily cuticle oil, help many clients build stronger, healthier nails over time. Our technicians assess your nail condition at every visit.

Both levels are fully certified and trained in the Russian Manicure technique. The difference is in experience and speed:

Master — Ana ($100 / 2h): Independently certified with consistent technical results across all service types. Ideal for clients who know what they want and value thoroughness.

Top Master — Nancy & Alexandra ($120 / 1h 50min): Our most experienced technicians — the highest standard of cuticle work, precision, and artistry. Recommended for first-time clients, nail art, and complex requests.

Yes — nail art is available as an add-on to any service. Options range from Cat Eye ($10) and Simple designs like sparkles or foils ($20), to Medium ($30), Hard ($50), and Extra Hard Level designs ($80). French tip, chrome, and ombré are $20. Come with bare nails — remove any existing polish beforehand. Avoid hand creams or oils on appointment day as they interfere with adhesion. If you have nail conditions, allergies, or sensitivities, please mention them when booking so we can customize your service. Feel free to bring photo references for shapes or designs you love.

We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations (under 48 hours) are charged 50% of the service total. No-shows are charged 100%. If you arrive 15+ minutes late, your service may need to be shortened or rescheduled. If we cancel on you with less than 24 hours' notice, your next visit receives a 40% discount. We primarily operate by appointment to give every client our full attention. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, especially for weekend slots and Top Master availability. Walk-ins are welcome when availability allows — call us at +1 (415) 718-2196 to check same-day openings.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash. Gratuity is always appreciated and can be added to card payments. For group bookings or parties, please contact us in advance so we can prepare accordingly.
